This guide supports buyer preparation. It is not legal, customs, engineering or installation advice. Confirm current destination requirements with qualified local professionals.
- 01
Define the installation
State wall, floor, landscape, water-adjacent, distribution, or another use. Include substrate, exposure, traffic, design intent and any required performance evidence.
- 02
Choose the material form
Select rectangular tile / panel, natural split pieces, or ask for a recommendation. Do not use one format quotation to compare against another.
- 03
Write dimensions and tolerances
State length, width, thickness, units, nominal versus actual basis, acceptable variation, sampling and decision rule.
- 04
Approve appearance and surface
Use a named photo set or physical sample. Clarify dry and wet viewing, tone range, texture, edge, defects and natural variation.
- 05
State quantity and programme
Provide m², pieces or both; indicate trial, one project, repeat stock, delivery stages and required timing.
- 06
Request packing evidence
Ask how pieces are protected, crates are configured and marked, weight is controlled, and pre-shipment photographs connect to your order.
- 07
Align the commercial basis
Compare quotations using the same product specification, currency, unit, Incoterm, named place, inclusions, exclusions, validity and payment terms.
- 08
Confirm destination requirements
Have your importer or broker identify current permits, classifications, treatments, labels, taxes and documents; then confirm supplier availability in writing.
